Postmarks - Irish Undated Circles
Within Ireland small post offices had an undated circle (udc) in use in the early to mid 1800's. Many of the Post Towns had a Circular mark with two arcs and Serifed Letters, recorded by William Kane as Type 4A. A second set of marks exist with a double arc but with the letters Sans-Serif, these are recorded by Kane as Type 4B. We list below the known offices and are aware of additions to this. If anyone has an example of an UDC from Ireland please do send a copy to allow us to update this list.
