The Post Office is believed to have been open between Jan-Mar 1903
In the Post Office Circular Jan-3 Feb1902 the office is unamed.
PRONI Ref OS 6/2/63 shows a location c1905 at J.047.587 east of Laurelmount and Fairview.

It is believed to have replaced Kilvergan, and on 31 May 1989 it replaced Derrymacash
